8. Transfer of Information Outside Quebec

Our website and back-office systems are hosted by Hostinger International Ltd. on servers located in Boston, Massachusetts, United States of America. When you submit information through our website, that information is transmitted to and stored on servers located in the United States.

The laws of the United States may provide a level of protection for personal information that differs from that of Quebec. Before entrusting your information to this hosting provider, we conducted a privacy impact assessment and implemented the following safeguards:

  • A written service agreement containing confidentiality obligations
  • Encrypted transmission of all data using TLS 1.2 or higher (HTTPS)
  • Restricted access limited to authenticated personnel
  • Technical and physical security measures provided by the host (firewalls, intrusion detection, isolated backups)

By submitting your personal information through our website, you consent to this transfer outside Quebec. You may contact our Privacy Officer for additional information about the assessment we performed.

Send a written request to info@lavpro.ca, including proof of identity sufficient to confirm the request comes from you. We will respond within 30 days, as required by Law 25. If we cannot grant your request, we will explain the reasons in writing and inform you of available recourse.
